With Kitchen Aid, you can’t go wrong. My old tilt mixer never worked properly and was cumbersome to use, so I was sick of it. This brand-new mixer is revolutionary. It is now much simpler to combine batter and dough.
The stainless steel bowl locks into the base to prevent spills and is simple to clean. To maintain their stability, the stirring attachments also lock into position. Although I’d prefer it if the attachments could be put in the dishwasher, I’ll gladly hand wash them to keep them in good condition.
I put the bowl on the top rack of the dishwasher and haven’t encountered any problems. Because I couldn’t justify spending more money on a trendy color, I chose the black mixer instead, and I’m glad I did. I adore it.
I have only one complaint: poor shipping. If you reside in an area where porch pirates are common, take caution because the mixer was shipped in a box that revealed its contents. Since I work from home, I am usually at home during the day, but on the one occasion when I wasn’t, this mixer sat on my porch for a while.
The box was also pretty battered when it arrived, but fortunately the mixer was protected by the thick styrofoam packing.
